POSITION SUMMARY

Affinity Health Center is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Chief Operations Officer (COO) to manage and enhance operations across multiple sites, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare for underserved communities in the greater Rock Hill area. The COO will provide oversight and leadership for several key departments, including Patient Access, Behavioral Health, HIV Medical Case Management, HIV Prevention, Data & Clinical Quality, and a rapidly expanding Dental Program. This role also provides leadership and operational support for our Ryan White Programs. The COO will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and in partnership with AHC’s entire leadership team and community stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit healthcare—preferably within FQHC or community health settings—along with proven experience in organizational leadership, crisis management, staff development, and financial oversight. This role requires a compassionate, collaborative leader with an understanding of operational strategy and regulatory compliance, committed to fostering a forward-thinking workplace. The ideal candidate is an active listener who values input from multiple perspectives and levels within the organization and is a champion for employee engagement to foster a workplace culture where all staff feel valued, supported, and heard. Additionally, the candidate should be an innovative thinker who leads with an appreciation for the existing infrastructure while working in partnership with all levels of the organization to identify creative solutions to enhance organization-wide processes and systems.
Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 salary range

EDUCATION:

  • The preferred candidate will have earned a master’s degree and/or a bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, business administration, public administration, or a related field with professional experience that has provided the required knowledge and abilities to perform job duties.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare management and/or non-profit management required.
