JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is responsible for leading and unifying the Social Current sales (Network Engagement & Growth) and marketing functions under a single strategic vision. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will oversee new revenue development, customer acquisition strategies, and offer innovation efforts in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, while creating internal alignment across departments. This role is critical in positioning Social Current for sustainable growth amidst an evolving nonprofit landscape.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel up to 50%. Attend in-person staff meetings/events a minimum of one time annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador: Actively represent and promote Social Current’s mission, vision, values, and offerings in all professional interactions, ensuring alignment with organizational principles in daily responsibilities and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Champion the Social Current Business Model: Provide strategic leadership by connecting direct reports to all facets of the Social Current Business Model, delivering guidance, support, and resources to effectively embed the model’s revenue sources and initiatives within team operations and projects.
  • Commitment and Understanding: Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Social Current’s equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) values, and be able to articulate their personal commitment to EDI as it relates to their role at Social Current and beyond.
  • Self-Awareness and Development: Examine their personal biases, assumptions, and attitudes, while engaging in ongoing personal and professional development on EDI issues.
  • Promoting an Inclusive Environment: Foster a respectful, diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment where concerns are effectively addressed, and promote a collaborative workplace that recognizes, celebrates, and rewards EDI.
  • Leadership and Accountability: Communicate the importance of EDI to Social Current’s mission to all stakeholders, integrate an EDI mindset into team strategic planning, and address incidents of explicit and implicit bias, including personal biases, while holding individuals accountable for problematic behavior.
