Role Overview Surbana Jurong is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified professionals for the position of Chief Supervision Engineer for a proposed assignment in Uzbekistan. The role will lead construction supervision activities for irrigation water infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage construction supervision activities for irrigation water infrastructure projects. Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and standards. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation. Ensure compliance with construction norms and standards applicable in Uzbekistan and international best practice. Manage contracts in accordance with FIDIC and/or similar international contract conditions. Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and reporting throughout construction phases. Provide technical leadership and ensure timely preparation of project reports and documentation. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Water Management, Hydraulic Structures, or a related discipline (professional qualifications preferred). Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 8 years in construction supervision of irrigation networks. Experience working in developing countries, including at least 5 years in Central Asia. Familiarity with Uzbekistan construction standards or equivalent international standards. Proven experience in contract management and supervision under FIDIC or similar conditions. Excellent English proficiency, with strong reporting and computer skills; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
