Description
· Lead and oversee all survey-related activities for the project. · Ensure accuracy in setting out works, alignment control, track geometry, and topographic mapping. · Supervise survey teams, allocate work, and monitor performance. · Verify and validate survey reports, drawings, and GIS/AutoCAD outputs. · Coordinate with design, construction, and quality teams for resolving survey-related issues. · Maintain survey records, benchmarks, and data as per project and client requirements. · Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. · Provide technical guidance and training to junior surveyors and field staff. · Act as the primary point of contact with consultants/clients for all survey-related matters. Requirements Experience Requirements · Total Professional Experience: Minimum 15 years in surveying, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects. · Relevant Experience (any one of the following) At least 7 years’ experience as a Surveyor In-charge handling Railway / Highway projects in a PMC or Construction Agency. At least 4 years’ experience in a Manager or higher position in a Railway PSU engaged in construction projects, along with 6 years’ experience as Surveyor. Key Skills & Competencies · Proficiency in modern survey instruments (Total Station, DGPS, Auto Level, etc.). · Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other survey-related software. · Strong understanding of railway/highway alignment, curves, gradients, and track geometry. · Leadership and team management skills. · Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. · Familiarity with international and Indian railway/highway standards.
