We are seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to support our customer’s operations in Boulder, CO. This effort provides our Government customer with information technology support services. This position will be on-site and will require an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology Management, Information Technology, or a related field

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to software development, testing, and integration within DoD or national security environments
  • Proven leadership in technical project management, systems engineering, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Experience directly leading diverse engineering teams, preferably in a scaled agile environment
  • Leadership experience should include at least five of the following: project planning, cost and schedule management and tracking, technology management, product development, performance reporting, proposals, program staffing, functional management and staff development
  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, team building skills, and good oral and written presentation skills
  • Background leading operations in an R&D facility
  • Familiarity with system engineering processes and tools
  • Experience with cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), data fusion, and automation
  • Familiarity with Overhead-Persistent Infrared (OPIR) technologies, data, and program

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and guide all systems engineering efforts supporting the OPIR TAP Lab
  • Define, prioritize, and execute technical requirements, translating them into actionable and innovative solutions
  • Conduct comprehensive systems engineering trade studies to evaluate and recommend strategic technology investments
  • Work in an advanced, collaborative environment leveraging state-of-the-art computing infrastructure at multiple data classification levels
  • Drive innovation and shape the future of Remote Sensing data applications through advanced technologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across diverse programs, fostering a cohesive and innovative team culture
  • Lead efforts in exploring emerging technology trends, recommending strategic courses of action to ensure technological leadership and operational excellence
  • The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings; the ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills
