Description
SAIC is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to join our team in Boulder, CO to support an effort with US Space Force.
As the Chief Systems Engineer you will be oversee, manage, and lead an enterprise-level evolution of government facilities, hardware, and software technical baselines. This position is listed as a “key position” for the contract, reflecting its critical importance to our mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all system engineering efforts
  • Define and prioritize technical requirements
  • Conduct system engineering trade studies
  • Translates requirements into executable solutions
  • Recommend engineering and technology investment courses of action based on trade studies
  • Coordinate and collaborate with organizational, user, and tenant stakeholders
  • Support operations, maintenance, integration, and provide tenant support
  • Manage an integration roadmap
  • Recapitalize technology and recommend new capability investments
  • Led efficiency improvements to drive efficiencies and contain life cycle cost
  • Convene and lead working groups (both standing and temporary) to conduct studies, perform trades, and develop effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Masters and ten (10) years or more experience in in engineering, computer science, or a related IT field.
  • 10 years of industry-related experience, including a minimum of 5 years in software development, test and/or integration of capabilities in operational Department of Defense (DoD) or other national security facilities. Experience may include roles in both industry and Government settings.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Proven ability to document complex hardware/software configurations and baselines.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary working groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic planning and investment.
  • In-depth understanding of national security requirements and DoD operational environments.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors
