POSITION OVERVIEW:

Claros is seeking candidates with a proven track record of deep technical innovation to join our team as our Chief Technical Officer (CTO). The CTO is a key member of Claros’ Management Team responsible for the development of Claros’ solutions on our three respective technologies: Functional Materials, Analytical Services, and PFAS Destruction. Reporting to the CEO, the CTO is accountable for organizing and conducting the activities of the technical teams to further develop Claros’ products into disruptive commercial solutions that will build market demand and take Claros closer to our mission of “Solving problems, without creating new ones.”

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:

• Demonstrated ability to understand complex technologies and effectively articulate those technologies to non-technical audiences as well as technical audiences in varying settings.
• Extensive experience and expertise in research and development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire a team of researchers and developers, driving innovation and achieving strategic objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends to identify potential opportunities and devise innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring effective communication and successful project execution.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 15+ years of Leadership experience in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, Environmental Engineering, or a related industry. Experience in PFAS remediation or photochemical reactor development, a plus.
• Proven track record in successfully commercializing scientific and environmental solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
