Description
Our client is a fast-growing, well-funded fintech scale-up building a modern software suite. Backed by strong institutional investors and a highly professional board, the company has real momentum, a clear path to breakeven in 2027, and the ambition to become a genuinely AI-native organisation. To lead the next phase, our client is hiring a new: Chief Technology Officer Trusted Tech Partner to the CEO, Driving an AI-First Transformation Are you a hands-on technology leader who thrives on both architecture and people — someone who can turn a bold AI ambition into daily practice, while acting as the CEO's closest advisor on all things tech? This is a rare chance to shape the technical backbone of a company entering an important growth chapter. The Role Being part of the management team and reporting to the CEO, you will set the technical direction for the entire platform and take personal ownership of the infrastructure that supports it. This is a transformation mandate: you will professionalise a lean, start-up-minded development organisation based north of Copenhagen — sharpening its structure, its stack and its way of working — without losing the pace and curiosity that got it here. AI sits at the heart of the job. Beyond understanding the technology, you will actively weave AI into everyday development practice — how the team plans, builds and deploy. You will also carry responsibility for risk, security and compliance, striking a balance between speed and control that satisfies an experienced, demanding board. What You Bring ● 5+ years in technology leadership, with recent, hands-on exposure to a modern stack and AI. ● A track record of implementing AI in real development workflows, not just talking about it. ● Natural authority with developers — earned through competence, not title. ● Proven people-management skills in a lean, fast-moving organisation. ● A calm, structured approach to risk, security and governance. ● Curiosity and courage to experiment, paired with the judgement to know when not to. ● Strategic thinking combined with a willingness to stay close to the details. ● You understand the business and master the art of prioritizing tasks You are decisive, well-organised and genuinely energised by people — someone who wants a seat close to the CEO and the confidence to use it, backed by an organisation with clear ambitions and full management support. Apply This search is run by Brinch & Partners; the client's identity will be shared later in the process. For a confidential conversation, reach out to Partner Jens Chr. Jensen (+45 2784 7405). Please submit your CV and cover letter via the apply button — all applications are handled in strict confidence.
Responsibilities
Set the technical direction for the platform and lead the transformation into an AI-native organisation. Act as the primary technical advisor to the CEO while managing infrastructure, security, and compliance.
