Description:
At The Children’s Forum, we are dedicated to ensuring that children across Florida grow and thrive in high-quality environments, and that families have access to resources and support in their parenting journey. As a statewide not-for-profit organization, we focus on empowering those who care for and educate our children, especially the early learning workforce.
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our Information Technology team. This leadership position is key to advancing our mission by overseeing the development, management, and implementation of all IT systems, policies, and infrastructure. The CTO will manage a team of six full-time IT professionals and collaborate with staff across all levels of the organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with certifications or related experience in Network and Server Administration.
- 5-8 years of experience managing large, multi-site computer network systems.
- Proven expertise in training and providing technical support to non-technical staff.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong problem-solving and evaluation skills with the ability to address complex challenges.
- Proficiency in designing and managing virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware) and disaster recovery systems (e.g., VEEAM).
- Experience purchasing, implementing, and optimizing complex hardware/software solutions within budget and deadlines.
- Expertise in network technologies, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, Active Directory, and firewall management as well as network security in general.
- Familiarity with supporting remote workforces, utilizing tools like RDP and remote support technologies.
- Ability to train and guide staff with varying levels of technical expertise, from helpdesk support to advanced IT professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs as needed.
