Description

An iconic family-owned company with a strong community brand seeks a talented Chief Technology Officer to join the Kinsley Enterprise team. This role is responsible for establishing and executing the enterprise-wide technology vision and strategy for a diversified family-owned holding company with operations in multiple industries. This strategic leader will evaluate, integrate, and enhance the technology platforms, systems, security, and processes across all portfolio companies to maximize operational efficiency, innovation, and long-term growth.
The CTO will work collaboratively with individual company leaders and IT professionals to align technology investments with business goals, promote innovation, and ensure digital and cybersecurity readiness across the organization. This role will drive equipment technology strategies and support the development of artificial intelligence (AI) functionality. Given Kinsley Enterprises’ collaborative, non-directive approach with its operating companies, this role requires a selfless, team-oriented leader who prioritizes organizational needs over individual agendas. The ideal candidate will balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality to drive results in a dynamic and partnership-driven environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to create and drive strategy while being a hands-on implementer and lead cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, software development lifecycle, digital transformation, and systems integration.
  • Skilled at responding to evolving organizational strategies, growing teams, building infrastructure, and improving operations and efficiencies.
  • Support Kinsley Enterprises, the Kinsley Holding Board, and committees with technology guidance and communication.
  • Budgeting, cost modeling, and financial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build/maintain professional relationships with emphasis at the executive and board level.
  • Must always maintain complete confidentiality and exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Must act with honesty and integrity in all business dealings.
  • Combine strategic and visionary leadership with a detail-orientated mindset and strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Effective builder and networker of business connections and vendor negotiation in support of Kinsley business interests.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (i.e. AWS & Azure), cybersecurity, and more, with the ability to learn IT software programs and leverage AI and data analytics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (required), a master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership in technology strategy, IT operations, or digital transformation.
  • Experience with Viewpoint/Vista software is beneficial.
  • Past experience supporting a family-owned and operated multi-unit business in a leadership role is preferred.
