This is your opportunity to join a dynamic busy well-resourced Community based Child and Family Health team working with families with children from newborn to 5 years of age. Role includes home visiting, breastfeeding clinics, facilitating groups, anticipatory guidance, and health education to promote optimum development of children, supporting vulnerable families and parents with postnatal depression and anxiety.

The Child and Family Health Nurse works within a multi-disciplinary team as part of the NSLHD Child and Family Health Service. The Child and Family Health Nurse strives to maintain, improve and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children and their families within the NSLHD community. Sound clinical judgement and effective communication skills are utilised in caring for families. The Child and Family Health Nurse is considerate to individual and cultural values,and endeavours to empower families through a sensitive and flexible approach to service delivery.
