We are accepting applications for the position of Center Director.
Applications will be accepted through Friday, August 22nd, 2025.
The Center Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. The Director is directly accountable for overall operational management following well-established guidelines, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, legal and budgetary considerations, and long-range planning. The Director ensures that the needs of the students and the center’s goals are met appropriately.

In order to be considered for this position, applicant resume must include all of the following qualifications:

  • Verified PA Career Pathway Level of C Plus (currently showing in PA Professional Development Registry
  • Current PA Director Credential
  • Multilingual
  • Documented history of compliance with OCDEL, PreK Counts, Keystone STAR 4 Quality Rating Standards
  • Work references attesting to the ability to multitask while researching and practicing quality standards.
  • At least two years of verifiable full-time experience as a Lead Teacher of 3 to 5 year-old children.
  • At least two years of verifiable full-time experience as Director of a Keystone STAR 4 and PreK Counts program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

SEEING AND HEARING: Clearly, near and far, with background movement and noise
STANDING: Extended periods of time while supervising children.
SITTING: Minimal.
WALKING: Frequently - supervision of children, walking excursions, etc.
LIFTING: Occasional - supplies, child up to 50 lbs. Repetitive motions – such as lifting, placing, and positioning up to 20 cots and naptime bags within a five to ten minute time frame.
STOOPING: Frequently – participating with children during floor activities.
REACHING: Frequently - supplies in cabinets, hanging pictures, bulletin boards
CLIMBING: Occasional storage (using step ladder).
SWIFT MOVEMENTS: In any direction, without notice, such as to run after and redirect a running child, or in response to a child’s physical expression of emotions.
