POSITION SUMMARY

The Center Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and daily operation of the childcare center in compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations and Keystone STARS quality standards. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, supports and supervises staff, maintains strong family partnerships, and upholds the mission and values of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must meet Pennsylvania DHS requirements for a Child Care Center Director.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (or equivalent credentials as required by DHS).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Keystone STARS standards and experience maintaining or advancing STARS levels.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in early childhood education.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• CPR/First Aid and all required state clearances.
