TWC is the state’s lead agency for the federal Child Care & Development Block Grant and administers the Child Care & Development Fund (CCDF) in partnership with local Workforce Development Boards and the Health & Human Services Commission’s Child Care Regulation Division. The CC&EL Grants & Contracts team develops and oversees CCDF-funded projects awarded to outside entities, such as statewide initiatives to improve the quality of early care and education in the state, data collection and research efforts, and pilot programs to test new strategies.

The Child Care Grants & Contracts Specialist II-IV performs complex to advanced (senior-level) contract management work. Work involves developing and evaluating a broad range of grants and contracts. Work involves performing grant/contract administration for highly complex and high-dollar contracts by developing and overseeing grants/contracts. May provide guidance/supervise the work of others. Works under general to minimal supervision, with moderate to considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
