The Hampshire Regional YMCA is looking for a passionate childcare professional to join our leadership team! We run a high-quality afterschool care program directly in local Northampton elementary schools, and we are hiring a Site Coordinator to oversee our Bridge St Elementary School program. This role transitions into being a Unit Leader at our outdoor summer day camp, Camp Norwich, when the school year ends. The entire School-Age Childcare team will seamlessly transition with you into Camp Norwich operations each summer. If you like variety and are enthusiastic about kids’ healthy development & enrichment, this is the role for you!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is a plus
• Significant experience with school-age children and/or summer camp
• Experience in a leadership role preferred

• Manage all operations and oversight of our Bridge St Afterschool site
• Hire, train, evaluate, and coach all Bridge St Afterschool staff
• Communicate with afterschool program parents as needed
• Perform administrative duties relating to Bridge St afterschool site
• Ensure all EEC regulations at afterschool site are met
• Assist in development of programming at both Camp Norwich
• Oversee and manage Camp Norwich unit, including campers and counselors
• Participate in Leadership Team responsibilities such as signature YMCA events, weekly meetings, and more
