Heritage Family Services is now recruiting experienced Child and Youth Care Workers for an Awake Night position for programs located in Red Deer, AB. Shifts from; 4 on 2 off, 8hrs per shift.
The ideal candidate will have likely be characterized by others as authentic, service-focused, responsible, organized and outgoing. You display a strong level of interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop healthy relationships with the children in their care.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Post-Secondary Education (or current enrollment) in relevant Social Work or Human Services certificate, diploma or degree is a strong asset.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check, Class 5 Driver’s License, and Drivers Abstract (with less than 6 demerits) will be required as part of pre-employment screening.
• Recognition of Indigenous Traditions and beliefs and the importance of culturally appropriate care
• Demonstrated respect to diverse communities, backgrounds, identities, gender, and sexualities with an understanding of terminology and pronouns.
• Ability to communicate cross-culturally and work effectively with individuals and groups, including those with socially marginalized identities and experiences.
