We are recruiting a Child Contact Centre Manager to run two child contact centres based just outside Brighton - in Hassocks and Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
This role predominately involves working from home, so candidates must have a suitable home-space to work uninterrupted, as well as undertake confidential phone calls and video meetings.
This is a highly administrative role so requires excellent IT and numeracy skills
Our managers are expected to regularly attend both venues, so you must live within 30 minutes’ drive of at least one of our centres and be a car owner.
Previous management and staff management experience essential, ideally in a related field
This role is home based. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent IT skills. Including frequent use of MS Word, Excel, Teams and Zoom, Dropbox and other software as we continue to grow. All our work is using MAC computers (a laptop will be supplied)
  • Experience of staff management and supervision
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to accurately and expediently work with figures, generating accurate invoices in a timely manner and creating quotes
  • Experience working with families
  • Robust and resilient. You will be dealing with families at very challenging time in their lives
  • Confident to attend and speak at meetings, this would include both internal management and external local authority children’s services meetings
  • At least 2 years of management experience ideally within a related service dealing with other organisations, professionals and members of the public
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A car owner. You will be attending external meetings as well as meetings at our centres with colleagues and families.
  • You must be experienced and confident in working independently, as most of this role is home based

Responsibilities

As a Child Contact Centre Manager, you would be running our child contact centres in Hassocks and Haywards Heath organising supervised child contact /family time sessions for parents in our centres or in the Sussex community, as well as line managing a team of child contact supervisors.
You will be in communication daily with parents and social workers predominately by phone, email and video.
You will need to be resilient, decisive, organised and robust as we are working with families often at a challenging time in their lives
