We are recruiting a Child Contact Centre Manager with excellent administration skills and previous management experience, ideally working with families, to run two Mid Sussex contact centres located just outside Brighton - in Hassocks and Haywards Heath, West Sussex
As Child Contact Centre Manager your work can directly and positively impact the lives of children and their families. This is a full time, predominately home based, role Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Child contact services provide the opportunity for a parent /s to spend time with a child not currently living with them. The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member or foster carers. In addition, we offer Family Support Work support to Local Authorities.
As a Child Contact Centre Manager, you’ll play a crucial role running our contact centres and the line management of our local child contact supervisor team and the deputy manager.
This is a heavily administrative position so excellent organisational skills and good time management are essential. You will be dealing with families at challenging times in their life so a calm, professional and robust personality is needed.
Candidates must have designated room/home space where you can work uninterrupted. Our managers are expected to regularly attend both venues, so must live within 30 minutes’ drive of at least one of our centres and be a car owner.
Experience required:-
Evidence of prior practical experience of working with children and families, and/or relevant qualifications and prior training.
At least 2 years of management experience ideally within a related service dealing with other organisations, professionals and members of the public-
Experience of staff management and supervision
Salary is £33,150 per annum, plus opportunity to join the pension scheme
