We are currently looking for a Full Time Child Development Center Assistant Manager to join our Child Development Center Tishomingo Group team located at the Child Development Center - Tishomingo working 8:30AM-5:30PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION:

  • High School, GED or Equivalent
  • Bachelors Degree in directly related field
Responsibilities
  • Assists in the day-to-day operations of the child development center
  • Monitors quality of care for up to 200 children
  • Reviews applications for enrollment and contacts parents/guardians regarding the application or enrollment process
  • Assists in progressive discipline of applicable employees
  • Provides classroom teachers with curriculum materials to carry out day to day activities
  • Evaluates child portfolios and compliance with developmental meetings with parents
  • Oversees enrollment orientation of new children and parents at the center and transition of existing children to new classrooms
  • Supervises the execution of appropriate curriculum of all age groups
  • Assists in interviewing and selecting applications for hire
  • Coordinates meetings with families as needed to ensure quality of care provided and recommends programs and services to assist with additional needs
  • Acquires resources, materials and equipment necessary for safe program operations and maintains accurate inventory procedures
  • Assists in the planning of program engagement activities for families and staff
  • Ensures a stimulating, safe and age-appropriate environment for children served
  • Administers regular staff meetings, conferences, and parent engagement opportunities
  • Maintains knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • May be required to act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the manager to ensure all operational standards are maintained
  • Assists with the development of effective communication among employees, parents/guardians.
  • Assists in the monitoring of health and safety practices of staff and ensures all tribal standards are being met.
  • Required to obtain 40 hours of child care training each year.
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
