EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development or related field, preferred.
  • Must be CPR Certified (Adult, child, infant, AED) & First Aid
  • Experience working with a wide range of children and families from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software. 1

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home/community-based intervention for children ages 0-3 years who have been identified as having or being at risk of developmental delay or disability.
  • Maintain assigned caseload of Early Intervention cases assigned.
  • Coach parents and care providers to model strategies and provide education to continue effective methods to support their child’s development including addressing developmental and behavioral concerns by interpreting test results, creating learning plans, and suggesting age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure parent involvement and participation in sessions.
  • Monitor children’s goals to ensure consistency with Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for Intensive cases.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork documentation and records of client files.
  • Demonstration of a family-centered philosophy, and respect for cultural diversity. Coordinate visits with assigned families as directed; plans curriculum accordingly. Communicate schedule changes with scheduling departments, clients and supervisors assigned.
  • Collaborate with our in-house interdisciplinary team to provide effective intervention strategies, materials, and communication.
  • Cross-trains in Early Intervention program; maintaining current knowledge of all programs. Maintain client confidentiality, in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and in-services for Stars Therapy Services. Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
