Unique Opportunity for Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist -Independent Contractor

We are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about empowering children and their families. We are seeking enthusiastic Early Intervention Professionals/Infant Toddler Developmental Specialists (ITDS) to join our agency. Location: North Central Early Step counties of: Marion, Alachua, Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Lafayette, Suwannee, Levy, Gilchrist and/or Union.

*JOB DESCRIPTION:*

As an Early Interventionist/ITDS, you will work closely with families and their children in their natural environments such as homes and preschools. Your role will focus on fostering meaningful connections while promoting developmental growth and addressing individualized needs through 1- hour weekly sessions (with each family) focusing on the child’s development. Additionally, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including ST, and OT to create and implement tailored strategies that best support each child’s unique development.

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

-Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Communication Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, or RN’s with a BSN in pediatric experience.

*PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:*

-Certification as an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist is preferred but not required to apply.
-Experience working with children ages 0-5 years for a minimum of 1 year prior or post Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent communication with families and organizational skills combined with a compassionate approach.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Early Intervention Services: Provide early intervention services to children aged 0-3 and their families in their natural environments by enhancing the implementation of the IFSP, and ensuring compliance with Part-C, state, and medical regulations. This includes timely and effective service delivery.
    -Parent/Caregiver Coaching: Deliver direct services through a parent/caregiver coaching model, focusing on enhancing overall development in areas such as cognition, motor skills, self-help, and social-emotional skills.
  • Family Support: Equip families with the skills and support they need to foster their child’s growth and success in all developmental areas during daily routines and activities in their natural environments.
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to create tailored intervention plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately document progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure cohesive support for the child’s development. Ability to self manage schedule and adhere to IFSP program deadlines.
