Description

JOB SUMMARY

As the UK government’s largest public service provider, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) support people into work, help disabled people live more independent lives, improve housing and address homelessness, provide the financial foundation for a secure old age through the State Pension, and ensure children of separated parents have more opportunity to fulfil their potential through a better child maintenance system.
Family separation is never easy. the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) helps parents, who are unable to make a private financial agreement in support of their child(ren)’s living costs, ensure and at times enforce, the legal responsibility to provide financial support. Our mission is to ‘get money to children’ because it makes a real difference to children’s lives.
Child Maintenance Service is not only undergoing a significant period of change as we drive forward our transformation agenda, but in tandem, we continue to deliver a politically significant and fundamentally crucial service to millions of separated families around the country who depend upon the work we do. Our story in recent years is one of impressive progress and improvement.
Despite the progress we’ve made, we are unashamedly ambitious about what more we can achieve and the difference we can make for the families who need us. Child Maintenance Service is an amazing place to work. Walk into any one of our service centres and you will be overwhelmed by the passion and commitment that our people have for supporting our customers.
At CMS we welcome applications from everyone. We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce where everybody can thrive. If you want to make a difference to the lives of others and be part of the UK’s largest public services Department, DWP then this could be the career for you.
We are looking for people who are customer focussed, with the right skills, commitment and capability to deliver an exceptional public service. If you have a genuine dedication to a public service department that makes a real difference to the lives of others, you will find great satisfaction in working with us.
This is a fantastic opportunity to begin or further develop an exciting and fulfilling career in the Civil Service. We offer flexibility with a work life balance alongside challenge and opportunity. Take a look at the DWP you tube channel to find out more https://youtu.be/DwG6S1XQy2Y
