Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Undertake statutory responsibilities and exercise in accordance with the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007 and departmental
    Policies and Procedures.
  2. Apply professional expertise in social welfare to the assessment of individual, family and community issues and in the application of
    appropriate methods of intervention with departmental clients.
  3. Ensure the availability of reliable data through the accurate and timely recording of information on the Department’s client
    information and case management systems.
  4. Participate in the development and implementation of community welfare programs.
  5. Participate in the Child Protection After-Hours Service.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for the delivery of case work and case management services to clients, including the management of more complex cases
    requiring liaison with other Agency and non-Government Organisations.
  2. Maintain a high level of services to clients through the provision of professional expertise and demonstrated best practice in the
    delivery of statutory welfare services.
  3. Undertake statutory responsibilities and exercise delegations under the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007 in accordance with
    departmental policies and procedures.
  4. Provide support, training and education to staff on program and practice issues to enhance their skills, knowledge and understanding
    of programs.
  5. Ensure the availability of reliable data through the accurate and timely recording of information on the Department of Territory
    Families, Housing and Communities client information and case management systems.
  6. Participate in the Child Protection After-Hours Service.
