Description
ESM is looking for a dedicated and experienced Child Safeguarding Group Leader to ensure safeguarding standards are consistently implemented, monitored, and aligned with organisational and regulatory expectations. This role plays a critical part in promoting a culture of safety, wellbeing, and accountability across all operations. The successful candidate will lead incident handling, reporting, and investigations, while continuously evolving policies and procedures to best protect children, staff, and other stakeholders. Key Objectives The CSG Group Leader is the primary point of contact for internal staff to report incidents of safeguarding. The Group Leader will record incidents in a secure system and investigate and conclude incidents with confidentiality. The CSG Group Leader will regularly assess trends of incidents to identify any common threats and will ensure to remain well versed and proactive to local laws and safeguarding best practices. The CSG Group Leader will provide certified training videos to allow all staff to become qualified and will identify and provide any additional or ad hoc training to key staff. Create, share and assess the impact of communications regarding safeguarding across the organisation and ensure a high level of CSG understanding. Instil a culture of safeguarding for all staff and perform any required audits and compliance checks to measure and maintain high standards. Set of Required Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours Desired Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Safeguarding for Children Desired Experience Minimum 1 year experience in handling safeguarding incidents or acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills Maintaining a high level of confidentiality Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Works well under pressure Knowledge of safeguarding laws and best practice Presentation skills and confidence delivering training to groups Competent IT skills including presentation creation, word processing, and spreadsheets Ability to manage workload and assignments in order to meet objectives and deadlines Excellent time management What We Offer A competitive salary package Annual flight allowance Private medical insurance End of service benefit Access to lifestyle discounts
