Job Details Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $13.50 - $15.00 Hourly Job Category: Program/Youth Sports/Adult Embark on a Journey of Impactful Adventure The Child Watch Associate is responsible for providing a safe and caring environment for children while in YMCA care. The Birthday Party Associate works with their supervisor to create a fun and engaging birthday at the YMCA. Engages with parents and children in a positive way in both Child Watch and during birthday parties to further the mission of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine. Who Are We? Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement. Maintain records, including, (but not limited to): accident and incident reports, sign in/out sheets, attendance records. Greet parents and children daily using names in all interactions. Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor. Use positive, age-appropriate behavior management tools, including redirection and positive reinforcement, using the Y voice at all times. Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications What You'll Need High school diploma or GED preferred Must be at least 15 years of age or older Experience with children preferred Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire Work Conditions and Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
