Description
Description The Family Assessment Intervention and Response Program involves community-based case work with families referred by child welfare to assess for safety and provide resources to children and their families. Investigate all allegations of child abuse, dependency, and neglect. Monitor and assess the safety and wellbeing of all the children in the home. Refer family to community-based services if warranted. Adhere to fidelity of program model, principles and practices. Maintain an assigned caseload. Maintain timely documentation in agency database system (i.e. assessments, service plans, safety plans, case notes, discharge plans) and other required records in accordance with agency, state accreditation, and other requirements, policies, and procedures. On-call on rotation. Travel primarily within the county/counties assigned, but some statewide travel is required for training and on-call. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field, preferred. Experience in child welfare, preferred. Previous job or student placement experience in child welfare, family serving agency, or community based agency, preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends while on-call, required. Must have strong written and oral communication skills and a strong working knowledge of computers and applications. Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population. Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and reliable transportation
