Description Title: Childcare & Community Center Director Location: Allied Family Club Department: Operations Status: Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: AVP of Operations Pay Range: $50,000-$55,000 Schedule: 10am-6:30pm initial schedule. Must be flexible to meet the needs of the Operations Department Position Description: This full-time position oversees overall Club operations supporting Preschool, School Aged, Middle School/Teen (members ages 4-18 years of age), and community programs This position operates within the Club as a licensed child care facility and Satellite Clubs with the primary concerns for program development, quality and implementation, staff development; supervision of staff; facilities and budget management. This position ensures compliance with WI Administrative Code for Group Child Care Centers and serves as the child care Center Director and Administrator. This position works within the hours of operations for the facility. Assumes vacancies as needed. This position is required to work special events, nights and weekends. May oversee 4K programming depending on Club location. Administrative: 70% Direct Service: 30% Supervisory: This role is responsible for direct and indirect performance and professional development of staff. Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities): Program Development Lead the development and implementation of organizational program goals, in relation to need and available resources, to facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes. Ensure the ultimate Club Experience is created for all members. Evaluate overall program effectiveness based on participation and achievement of stated goals; recommend modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate. Manage performance of assigned staff in achieving goals, providing technical assistance in program design, development, community relations and program operations. Lead the hiring process in collaboration with Human Resources including the completion of annual reviews and corrective action plans when applicable. Create and maintain membership goals and objectives in alignment with organization strategic priorities; including membership growth and average daily attendance (ADA). Facilitate annual continuous improvement such as; NYOI and YoungStar Quality Rating System. Mastery of WI Administrative Code, Organizational Policies and Procedures and BGCA Safety Standards. Mastery in membership tracking software, reporting and enrollment process. Volunteer Development Identify volunteer opportunities, communicate need to supervisor and coordinate volunteer process. Address volunteer issues & concerns. Ensure a quality volunteer experience through oversight of volunteer on-boarding. Community Partnership Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, Club families and community organizations. Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers and media releases. Participate in activities to maintain positive public relations for Club programs, services and activities. Support Board Committees, as assigned. Fund Development Oversight of and development of revenue and expenditures. Participate in annual fundraising expectations set forth by the Organization. Create and implement financial tools to develop policies of handling all program membership fees, purchasing and reimbursement requirements. Monitors and maintains WI Shares Childcare payments, policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Provide oversight of community facility rentals and partnerships. Implement assigned grants to fidelity and achieve specified outcomes. Track outcomes and complete grant reporting expectations. Submit monthly credit card reconciliation within organizational deadlines. Additional Responsibilities: Attend all Club sponsored special events as assigned. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) to support the mission and vision of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County. Assume vacancies as needed. Achieve and participate in annual fundraising goals. Requires nights and weekends as project deadlines dictate RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Maintains close contact with assigned Directors and other staff to provide technical assistance in matters of programming. Interacts regularly with the supervisor, colleagues, CEO, and senior management team. External: Maintain contact with other vendors, consultants, organizations, and others to achieve program goals and objectives, manage costs, share information, and resolve problems. Work Location: This role is a direct service role and on-site daily. Limited telecommuting opportunities. Employees must maintain phone and internet services to be able to complete work as required. Technology equipment will be assigned to ensure employees have access to BGCDC servers and files. Employees may be required to work from their assigned office as needed. The employee is required to be able to perform CPR or first aid. The employee is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, jump, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Working environment: Normal club environment. Requirements Qualifications: Required: 21 years of age or older Required: High School Diploma/HSED/GED Required: Valid WI Driver’s License with an approved driving record and at least 1-year experience driving Required: Eligibility as a Caregiver as determined by the Department of Children and Families A minimum of three years work experience in a non-profit agency, with at least two years management and operations experience; or an equivalent combination of experience. Required: At least one year supervisory experience. Required: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Sports Management or other related degree Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sports Management or other related degree Highly Preferred: Fluent in Spanish Infant/Child CPR & AED Certification within 3 months of assuming role Center Director 51 or over via the Registry preferred; Required within 1 year of assuming role Qualified as a Teacher certified via the Registry with a Career Level 7 or Higher Candidates will be required to provide documentation to demonstrate Child Care Licensing Requirements.
