JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves managing daily activities, providing supervision, and fostering the development of children in your care. A background/passion in early childhood education or relevant experience with children is highly desirable. Also a desire to supervise various sports with the children.
You will be working in a school in Chelmsford. The role requires you to work in the morning from 7:30 to 8:30 and after-school club from 15:00 to 18:00. This role is working term time only.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of nursery practices and child development principles.
  • Ability to engage with children of various ages and backgrounds.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous.
