Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To take day to day responsibility for children
  • To work to high standards of care
  • Ensure a good standard of hygiene
  • Attend meetings and undertake training as required
  • Adhere to Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns
  • To develop ongoing positive relationships with parents
  • Attend regular staff meetings
  • Be able to take charge and direct children in case of an emergency
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, any breach of confidentiality about children or their families will constitute gross misconduct
  • Perform any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time

Person Specifications

  • Minimum 1 year’s work experience in a similar role.
  • English Intermediate or Higher level. (spoken and written)
  • Ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Safety (training will be provided if you do not have it).
  • Manual Handling (training will be provided if you do not have it).
  • Fire Safety (training will be provided if you do not have it).
  • Complete Garda Vetting (will be arranged by us).
  • Drive Licence is desirable.
