Description

Little Rays has an amazing opportunity for Part time and Full time childcare assistants to join our team.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Nursery team in providing a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children aged 2 months - 12 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Nursery team in delivering the daily care and education of the children.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care while supporting the
health and safety of the children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Maintaining accurate records and observations of the children’s development.
- Adhering to the nursery’s policies and procedures, including child protection and
safeguarding.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children.
- Undertaking any other duties as required by the Nursery Manager.
- Prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is desirable.
  • Must have NVQ3 in Child Care and Education or the willingness to complete the qualification whilst employed. If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week within a childcare setting, you could access this course through the Apprenticeship NI programme You will be required to have Essential skills in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent (proof required)
