Description JOB OVERVIEW: The Boar’s Head Sports Club is seeking an energetic and imaginative Childcare Assistant Manager to support a safe, nurturing Kids’ Club environment where children can play, learn and grow. This role is a key operational leader for Kids’ Club camps and birthday parties, with primary responsibility for parent communication, program execution and curriculum, coordination with the Marketing team to promote offerings, and maintaining licensing compliance. The Assistant Manager supports the provider team through training, scheduling support, organized recordkeeping, and outstanding service for members and resort guests. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Boar’s Head Sports Club, indoors and outdoors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Serve as a primary lead for Kids’ Club camps (including Kids’ Club Summer Camp, School Day’s Out camps, and seasonal pop-up camps), ensuring an organized, engaging and safe experience. Provide clear, consistent communication with parents/guardians prior to camp and throughout camp duration. Coordinate with the Program Director and Marketing team to promote programming, including providing program descriptions, key dates, age ranges, photos/approved content as requested, and timely updates to support registration goals. Design, coordinate and execute camp curriculum and daily schedules, leading creative, athletic and educational activities that align with Kids’ Club standards and age-appropriate development. Create camp provider schedules based on number of child registrations, availability and programming. Provide clear communication with the camp provider team regarding individual camper schedules (i.e. swim lesson, tennis lesson, etc.) and maintain consistent communication regarding campers’ Aftercare needs. Coordinate with Boar’s Head Outfitters to create seasonal pop-up camp curricula; communicate program needs and collaborate as assigned. Serve as the primary contact for birthday party inquiries and planning, ensuring an organized and personalized experience. Provide professional, timely parent/guardian communication for birthday parties and camps. Lead and execute birthday party operations, including activity facilitation, room set-up/decor, staff coordination, guest flow and clean-up, while maintaining a welcoming environment. Adhere to all licensing regulations and program policies; ensure compliance through consistent supervision, accurate ratios and safety practices. Ensure the provider team is maintaining constant supervision of children, using daily sign-in/out procedures and regular headcounts. Manage accurate records of reservations, daily attendance and children’s activities; maintain organized camp/party check-in areas. Provide information about policies, procedures and programming to families in a professional manner. Follow parental instructions and special requests in accordance with program policies and regulations. Communicate, support and train team members, ensuring smooth daily operations; serve as Manager-on-Duty in absence of Childcare Program Director. Bill members and guests as applicable for programming. Communicate with Childcare Program Director regarding staffing and operational needs. Address facility needs through Maintenance ticket system promptly. Ensure light housekeeping duties, including sweeping and vacuuming are carried out by self or other providers as needed. Follow Boar’s Head Resort Handbook policies and procedures and contribute to overall resort excellence by completing other duties as assigned. Requirements Prior experience in a childcare facility or camp setting Degree in early childhood education or CDA certification preferred but not required
