Childcare Bus Driver Overlake Academy is a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, driver's license and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be 23 years of age or older. A plus if you have previous childcare experience! Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - until routes are complete Compensation: $15-15.50/hr, based on education and experience. Our Hiring Process: Resume screen Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-45 minutes) Offer Main Job Responsibilities: Transport children daily while following state regulations and health regulations pertaining to duties. Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to Director in a timely manner. Communicate with parents effectively both written and verbally. Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents. Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences. Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe bus. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
