Center Director – Early Childhood Education We are seeking an experienced and motivated Center Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our early learning center. The Center Director ensures high-quality education, regulatory compliance, staff development, and a safe, nurturing environment for children and families. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who is passionate about early childhood education and team development. Key Responsibilities Management & Leadership Oversee daily center operations and model organizational policies and procedures. Conduct daily classroom visits and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff. Recruit, hire, and develop teaching and support staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels. Conduct staff performance assessments, new employee orientations, and ongoing professional development. Lead monthly staff meetings, center events, and training sessions. Administration & Compliance Maintain accurate records for staff and children, including certifications, emergency contacts, and incident reports. Monitor classroom lesson plans, curriculum implementation, and program quality. Ensure compliance with state licensing, VPK requirements, and all regulatory standards. Manage center budgets, billing, tuition collection, and financial reporting. Oversee classroom and facility safety inspections and implement any necessary changes. Family & Community Engagement Cultivate positive relationships with families and maintain professional communication. Lead parent tours, enrollment, and orientation processes. Organize special events, celebrations, and family engagement activities. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education with experience in all age groups. Current Florida Director’s Credential and VPK Director’s Credential. Staff Certification (CDA, FCCPC, or equivalent) required. Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification. Completion of DCF 40-Hour Training and VPK Emergent Literacy course. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procare, and email systems. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and sit on the floor with children as needed.
