POSITION: CHILDCARE CENTER SUBSTITUTE LOCATION: Miami-Dade (Downtown Area- zipcode 33128) When: Monday thru Friday, 8 hour shift, 8:30am to 5:30pm shift (except for holidays) Rate of Pay: $15.35 per hour *Requires DCF Childcare 45 training hours certification; and high school diploma DCF 45 hours childcare training part 1 and 2 required to be completed; High School diploma or GED required, *Hired with a crredential contingency; New employee MUST be willing to start CDA coursework paid by funder while employed as Substitute within 90 days of start, and continue CDA coursework towards credential completion to meet requirement for continuous permanent employment. Position and pay rate to change with CDA/FCCPC credential attainment Responsible for assisting teacher with implementing daily learning activities, nurturing the children and managing and maintaining the Early Head Start or Head Start classroom and its equipment and supplies, establishes and maintains supportive relationships with infants, toddlers, and parents and implementing developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum for infants and toddlers while covering any classroom assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned. Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for infants and toddlers in a center-based setting Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries DCF 45 hrs. training certificates required; High School diploma or GED required, DCF 45 hours childcare training required to be completed or waiting for competency exam only; High School diploma or GED required, *Hired with a crredential contingency; New employee MUST be willing to start CDA coursework paid by funder while employed as Substitute within 90 days of start, and continue CDA coursework towards credential completion to meet requirement for continuous permanent employment. Position and pay rate to change with CDA/FCCPC credential attainment Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate; certificate of good health and completed TB test required; 15 hours in-service training annually thereafter; requires electronic fingerprinting- level 2 criminal background check, and drug test Education: High school or equivalent (Required) DCF childcare courses (45 hours) (required) Requirements DCF 45 hr. training certificates required; High School diploma or GED, DCF 45 hours childcare training required to be completed or waiting for competency exam only; High School diploma or GED required, Hired with a credentialcontingency; pipeline into regular infant/toddler teacher position, MUST be willing to take CDA coursework paid by funder while employed as Substitute starting within 90 days.
