JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a New Childcare Centre! Our Early Learning Centre located in Oak Park VIC is seeking and experienced Centre Manager/Nominated Supervisor to lead the team and friendly community.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role, strong team leadership, with experience inspiring and developing a young centre and a team of professional educators.

Duties include:

  • Marketing
  • Managing the day to day operations of a long day care service, in line with centre policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all educators
  • Managing all operational requirements of a service, including occupancy, wage management, rostering and budgeting costs.
  • Ensure the safety & wellbeing of all stakeholders (children, educators and families, community and Approved Provider)
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and self-development.
  • Recruit, induct, support and mentor new educators.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Previous experience as a Nominated Supervisor
  • A Diploma in Children Services or a degree in early childhood
  • A current Working with Children Check, child protection & first aid.
  • The ability to be organised and ability to multi-task.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Rating and Assessment process.
  • Strong understanding of the child safe standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership and management skills.
  • Passionate in achieving the best quality of education and care with educators and the community for children and families.
  • Knowledge of CCS, ACCS, Qikkids & Educa (preferred not essential)
  • Excellent written, computer and communication skills.
  • Bright, friendly and energetic.
  • 2 professional references.
