Job Title: Early Years Educator
Location: Monasterevin
We have a Full time position available and a part time (2/3 full days)
We also have an opening for expanding our afterschool programme which the hours would be 2-5.30pm (17.5hours) Monday to Friday (no Qualifications required, training will be provided)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education. For our afterschool, although a qualification is desirable, however no qualification is need as training will be provided.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Kind, caring, and reliable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Knowledge of Aistear and Síolta frameworks and regulations.
• Garda vetting required.
• Fluent English speaking

JOB PURPOSE:

Bright eyes childcare is a Family run Creche that was purpose built in Monasterevin, Co Kildare. We are looking for the right candidate to come join our team of excellent staff members. The Early Years Educator will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children in line with Aistear: the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework and Síolta: the National Quality Framework. The role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting each child’s individual needs, and building strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high-quality care and education to children in line with best practice standards.
• Plan, implement, and review a curriculum that supports children’s holistic development, interests, and emerging skills.
• Create a warm, caring, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected.
• Meet each child’s individual needs through observation, planning, and responsive interactions.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a positive and supportive working environment.
• Develop and maintain open, professional, and respectful relationships with parents and guardians, sharing information about children’s progress and well-being.
• Promote children’s independence, creativity, and confidence through play-based learning experiences.
• Ensure compliance with Tusla regulations, Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, and all relevant policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, including observations, curriculum plans, and reports as required.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to continuous improvement within the setting.
