JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a nurturing environment. This role requires a strong commitment to the well-being and development of each child, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and engaged in their learning journey. Our nursery is based on the grounds of Queensway Methodist Church and we are open 8am - 6pm

SKILLS

• Level 3 in childcare
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
• Familiarity with nursery settings and the ability to drive initiatives that enhance children’s experiences.
• A passion for working with children and a commitment to their development is essential.

• Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement engaging activities around a child interests to support their development
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
• Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and planned activities.
• Maintain a clean and organised environment that is conducive to learning and exploration.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and leadership.
