Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Lead Teacher for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2025–2026 school year. Position Responsibilities The Before and After School Program team is responsible for: Creating and facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities Assisting students with homework Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment Serving as a positive role model for children in the program Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed Requirements Education and Experience Candidate must possess one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience Relevant experience includes: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth. Qualifications 18 years of age Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB. Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
