Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the 2IC, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of the centre. You will work closely with the Centre Manager, assist in team management, and ensure compliance with all regulations and quality standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional to step into a leadership position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Centre Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre.
  • Step into the Centre Manager role when required.
  • Mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and all relevant regulations.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff.
  • Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the local community.
  • Help manage enrolments, rosters, and daily operations.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and child wellbeing.
  • Use childcare management software such as Xplor, Storypark, or Educa to support centre operations.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality in programs and practices.
