Description We are seeking a Childcare Site Director to lead Healthy Kids School Age programs, including Before and After School and Summer Programs. Drawing on proven leadership experience and high standards of excellence, the Site Director will cultivate a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Island Village Elementary School in Kissimmee, FL REPORTS TO: Regional Director, Sr. Regional Director and/or Executive Director, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program DIRECT REPORTS: Program Site Staff PAY: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Hours: 6:30 - 8:00 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm SUMMER HOURS: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm JOB CONSISTS OF: Manage all aspects of the School Age with a special focus on: Recruit, supervise, train, and professionally develop a highly qualified staff to ensure consistent, high-quality programming across all sites. Manage program operations in full compliance with state regulations and required camp permits, as applicable. Operate and sustain excellent programs that: Follow Healthy Kids Best Practices and Curriculum as the foundation of the Healthy Kids “Consistent Excellence” Philosophy. Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective communication with parents, staff, and host sites. Foster a warm, nurturing, positive, and safe environment for all participants. Prevent challenges through proactive management and address issues promptly and positively, with an emphasis on clear communication. 4. Lead with a positive, upbeat, and confident style, emphasizing effective communication and addressing issues directly and constructively. Train, supervise, professionally develop, support and help hire site leaders and staff to deliver excellent programs. Oversee that corrective action plans are completed and timely. Train, coach, mentor and develop staff. Assist with onboarding of new staff. Identify staff skill gaps and are able to identify smart goals. Manage call outs and track attendance. Ability to identify progressive discipline and coach. Ensure good news calls are completed monthly and follow up timely. Complete program site observations monthly or as needed. Complete check-in with direct reports as needed. Complete and approve supply orders, as necessary and required per direct reports. Oversee that registration requirements are met, per site (profile pages, allergy and medication, children and staff files are in compliance, an effective and consistent substitute plan is in place, children’s rosters are updated and submitted to host school, etc.). Ensure actively engaged grassroots marketing weekly, monthly, and as needed. Develop and aid in implementing summer camp curriculum. Ability to manage and grow enrollment continuously. Monitor and address performance issues in a timely manner so that personnel understand their areas of improvement and have the chance to bring their skills up to our standards of excellence. Work with Senior Regional, Regional, and/or Executive Director to constantly improve program by communicating issues and working on better ways of operating. Ability to license and complete renewals for programs in state and as required by Sr. Regional, Regional, or Executive Director. Keep host school and families informed of any staff changes/updates and children updates. Ensure staff schedules are input weekly. Oversee time off request and follow up timely. Complete and correct daily and weekly payroll reports. Make necessary adjustments to staff timecard, if needed. Actively recruit and hire new staff by ensuring all needed paperwork is completed timely. Develop and schedule meetings with each department, as needed. Clearly, effectively and in a positive manner, communicate organization’s policies, objectives, priorities and budget limitations to area coordinators and site directors. Coach all site leaders on professional development and career pathing opportunities. Focus on efficiently managing the largest expense – payroll. Work closely with the registration staff to ensure that all students that should be in the program have completed paperwork. Work with marketing to obtain important program information and materials for website and social media Maintain good working relationships with site hosts including school principals, school administration, school custodial staff, and licensing regulator. Work towards growing your region to implement new programs as they become available. Liaise with other departments, senior management, and parents. Adhere to and consistently enforce the company’s Code of Conduct, policies & procedures to meet company and state guidelines per regulatory requirements. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree with 2–3 years of supervisory experience Superior administrative and supervisory skills, preferably in a consumer-driven environment Excellent customer service and communication skills Must possess an active Florida Director Credential Must have a current transcript outlining completion of 40 hours of training CPR/First Aid certification Proven ability to work as part of a team and help create a team-oriented work environment Commitment to delivering excellent programs and managing personnel expenses Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks Must be medically fit to perform job duties Professional, reliable, passionate, and prompt with a warm, friendly, caring, and upbeat personality Excellent time management skills PART-TIME PERKS: Employer Paid Childcare - Available for school-age children (ages 5–13) enrolled in our program, on the days you work.
