Responsibilities The Armstrong Early Learning Center of Whitley County Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate part-time Childcare Site Facilitator to join our team. This position is responsible for monitoring teachers and the coordination and administration of administration tasks for their assigned classrooms. This person is also responsible for maintaining positive communication with the classes, office, school personnel, and family participants. In addition, this person is responsible for ensuring implementation of curriculum, filling absences, and subbing as needed. * Lead: Monitor and guide the implementation of weekly lesson plans, ensuring inclusion, safety, and age-appropriate engagement for all participants. * Support: Manage behavior concerns, communicate with parents effectively, and enforce program rules and emergency procedures as needed. * Collaborate: Work with teachers to maintain accurate student files and prepare audits or inspections. * Implement: Ensure YMCA safety and program standards are followed, and supplies, equipment, and materials are well maintained. Requirements Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. * 1-2 yrs. of college or life experience preferred. * Experience in supervision and childcare is preferred. * Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills. * Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm. * Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency. * An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively. * Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.
