JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated childcare provider to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This role is a program support staff for a school age program and an individual to assist in various activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.

EXPERIENCE

• MUST have previous experience working with children with exeptionalities and experience in a childcare setting is preferred
• Completed a Developmental Service Worker program is an asset or course in working with children with exeptionalities
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and educational best practices is beneficial.
• A background in educating young children through structured play and learning activities.

• Supervise and ensure the safety of this child in care at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide caregiving support, including meal preparation, diaper changing, and personal hygiene assistance.
• Foster a positive relationship with said child, encouraging their social skills and emotional well-being.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
