ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Relief Child and Youth Care Worker, you’ll play a key part in supporting children and youth in care by providing a stable, nurturing, and safe environment. Your work will focus on relationship-building, daily routines, and encouraging positive development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and maintain meaningful, respectful relationships with youth
• Create a secure environment and respond calmly to challenging situations
• Support youth in daily routines and structured programming
• Assist in household tasks including preparing meals
• Promote self-confidence and positive identity in youth
• Advocate for youth rights and access to support services
• Encourage development of personal, social, and life skills
