CHILDMINDING QUALITY AND SUFFICIENCY ADVISER

Location: Aylesford, Kent (Hybrid – travel across North and West Kent required)
Salary/package: £31,680 per annum (pro rata)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Part-time, 24 hours over 4 days per week

Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

As a Childminding Quality and Sufficiency Adviser, you’ll directly influence the quality of childminding in Kent, helping ensure every child receives the best possible start. You’ll support the professional development of childminders and uphold high standards in line with Ofsted and EYFS guidance. This role is central to sustaining inclusive and high-quality early years and childcare provision across the region.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Provide guidance and challenge to Ofsted registered childminders to raise standards and promote best practice through on site and virtual visits across North and West Kent
  • Promote inclusive, high-quality early years provision aligned with local and national statutory frameworks
  • Support childminders with EYFS compliance and delivery of funded early education entitlements
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver support for childminders
  • Ensure early learning experiences meet EYFS principles and narrow gaps for vulnerable children
  • Deliver professional dialogue and constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement
