New Start Living Residential Ltd is a children’s residential service for children aged 07 -18. We have open vacancies within our organisation for child support workers who can be a positive role model in offering care to children and young people.
We are looking for enthusiastic support workers who can engage well with children and young people providing a high quality of care and support for our children and young people fostering positive outcomes. Our homes are of a modern standard, and we believe in providing a safe and homely environment for our young people and staff.

EXPERIENCE:
Understanding of Children’s & Young People Provision
Experience of working in Social Care/support either paid/voluntary work (this can include family/friends)
KNOWLEDGE:
Basic Understanding of Health and Safety issues
Understanding of Care / Support Principles
Knowledge of Health and Safety issues
SKILLS:
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Able to communicate in an effective and both written and verbal manner
Ability to display empathy to all
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Able to handle difficult situations with minimum supervision
Able to carry out household duties
Basic Administrative skills
Knowledge of the support Industry and surrounding regulations and legislation
Commitment to own professional and personal development
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
New Start Living takes safeguarding matters seriously and this post is subject to an ISA check and Enhanced DBS Disclosure Check
2 Satisfactory employment/education references, 1 Satisfactory character reference (if previously worked in children care we will obtain all references for the past 5 years)
Where driving company vehicles for working purposes, must provide copy of full UK driving licence
