Job Title: Children’s Carer / Support Worker
Employer: KASE Care
Location: Barking and Dagenham
Hours: Flexible shifts including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Salary: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour (depending on day and time worked) during a 6-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, a salary increase may be considered.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children’s Carers / Support Workers to join our team in the Barking and Dagenham areas. This role will involve caring for children with complex medical needs, learning difficulties, and disabilities (such as Autism and ADHD), providing personal care, administering medication, and supporting them both at home and in the community. You will be responsible for ensuring that children can access education, medical appointments, and social activities in a safe, supportive, and engaging way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high-quality care to children with complex medical needs, including personal care.
  • Support children with learning difficulties and disabilities, such as Autism and ADHD.
  • Administer medication safely in line with care plans and training.
  • Support children during supervised visits as required.
  • Transport children to and from school, medical appointments, and community activities (using own car with business insurance).
  • Encourage learning, development, and fun through outings, play, and structured activities.
  • Follow care plans and record daily progress accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to promote the child’s wellbeing.
  • Always safeguard children in line with company policy and statutory requirements.
