Little Cedars Montessori Ltd is a small nursery in Whiston.
We have three small rooms in which we provide care for children from 3 months - 5 years old.
Little Cedars Montessori Nursery is a small day nursery caring for up to 22 children, we are based in Whiston, we are open 51 weeks of the year from 7.30am-6pm.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Nursery Manager to join and lead our team, this can be someone who has been a deputy is looking to step up on the career ladder. You will provide a safe, caring, fun and stimulating environment. You’ll provide the highest standard of leadership and form strong and supportive relationships not only with your team, but also to our families. You will need to have a strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework 2024 and be able to implement it.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery and work to develop, oversee and manage high quality, child centred provision of early years’ education and day care services for children aged from birth to five years. We looking for someone who can handle a varied of different situation and is able to think on their feet, someone who is confident and can forward plan. You will need to be able to priorities your workload and manage stressful situation, you will need to be reliable and flexible.

DUTIES:

  • Lead our nursery teams to deliver outstanding care to all the children in your setting
  • Oversee all aspects of nursery operations
  • Ensure a clean and organized nursery environment
  • Supervise and ensure CPD is relevant and updated for nursery staff to ensure efficient operations
  • Through your inspirational leadership drive employee engagement, retention, and performance in the nursery
  • Role model and mentor your nursery team to ensure the highest quality early childhood practice and experience for all children, including children with special education needs and/or disabilities
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, holding overall responsibility for the day to day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Work with the Directors, to identify and implement plans and strategies to deliver FTE growth within the nursery
  • Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer, to support practice in all areas of the nursery
  • Support in rooms when staff absence occurs when needed
  • Handling all administrative tasks related to the nursery.
