OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children’s Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional care for children in our Ofsted-regulated children’s home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, and will support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs (EBD). This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact within our service and lead a compassionate and dedicated team to deliver outstanding trauma-informed care.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Proven experience managing a children’s residential home.
  • In-depth knowledge of children’s home regulations, safeguarding, and Ofsted Inspection frameworks.
  • Ability to work in stressful environments whilst delivering a child-first approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the home in accordance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to care staff in the service.
  • Deliver effective safeguarding practices and further embed them within the home.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, legislation, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with your team and multi-agency professionals.
  • Monitor performance, implement quality assurance measures, and prepare for Ofsted Inspections.
  • Manage a budget, staffing and associated resources.
  • Collaborate with external professionals and families to ensure individualised support for each child.
