Description

Join our innovative team delivering remote occupational therapy services to children across Buckinghamshire’s mainstream schools .
The Post holder will be involved in universal, targeted and specialist service delivery to children who do and do not have an EHCP in mainstream settings.
The post holder will support the remote delivery of universal, targeted and specialist input to children attending mainstream schools across all settings and key stage via online delivery. This will be through the provision of virtual advice sessions to schools and families in both an individual and group format.
Direct Impact
Manage a remote caseload of children with and without EHCPs
Deliver virtual therapy sessions and coaching to families and schools
Provide specialist clinical input across all key stages
S/he will be involved in evidence-based, multi-agency projects to develop OT services for children. The post holder will help to develop resources which could be used to develop both the skills and the confidence of professionals supporting children with OT needs.

S/HE WILL BE REQUIRED:

  • To provide universal and targeted advice to parents, school practitioners, working within the SEND code of practice and service pathways.
  • To design and deliver training to an audience of parents and education practitioners.
  • To use specialist clinical skills to manage a remote caseload of children with OT needs.
  • To provide online coaching to parents and education specialists.
  • To assist in the provision of specialist knowledge to a wide range of professions and agencies within the Buckinghamshire area.
  • To undertake specific responsibilities pertaining to the caseload as defined and designated by the Operational Lead, Head of Service or Team Leads
  • To support the above with the provision of a high-quality service.
  • To liaise and use specialist clinical skills with a wide range of health, education professionals, Buckinghamshire County Integrated SEND team and specialist tertiary centres.
  • · To embed self into the service’s clinical pathway within the service and attend frequent service meetings remotely.
