About the RoleAs Children’s Operations Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across several Ofsted‑regulated services. You’ll work closely with Registered Managers and frontline teams, offering coaching, guidance, and hands‑on support to ensure consistently high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.

You’ll be a visible presence across services, helping shape practice, improve outcomes, and embed a culture of compassion, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee multiple children’s residential and short break services
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and operational support to Registered Managers
• Ensure full compliance with safeguarding legislation and regulatory standards
• Monitor performance, quality indicators, and service KPIs
• Develop and implement operational procedures and improvement plans
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies
• Lead on recruitment, retention, and workforce development
• Manage budgets and ensure financial sustainability
• Maintain high standards of health & safety across all services

• Ideal CandidateMinimum five years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care (essential)
• Proven leadership experience across multi‑site or multi‑team operations
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
• Confident in coaching, developing, and supporting managers and frontline teams
• Experienced in quality assurance, compliance, and performance management
• Skilled in budget management and operational planning
• Warm, values‑driven leadership style
• Relevant Level 5 qualification in Childcare, Social Care, Education, or Leadership
